Having almost 26+ years of experience in Healthcare IT domain. A senior healthcare information technology leader with strategic and tactical planning experience, evolving and refining, large systems development, systems integration, and clinical transformation. Excellent management, planning, and technical skills. Solid comprehension of business and technical issues and needs in healthcare domain for both product users and product development & design.
Mr Abdullah Saleem is currently the Group CIO of Omni Hospitals, a South India based tertiary hospital chain where he is responsible for developing leadership excellence, creating clinical, business transformation, and managing technology based strategic growth. He has successfully provided the IT transformation support to this chain’s various hospital leadership teams on benchmark-based cost containment, novel revenue growth and data-based revenue leak avoidance strategies, leading to more than doubling of unit EBITDAs within six months.
Prior to joining to Omni, he was working with Ohum Health Care Solution Pvt Ltd whereby he was heading the end-to-end enterprise solution delivery and deployment for public & private sectors for India, USA, Europe & Gulf countries working by leading to R&D, Assessment, Product Development, QA, Solution Configuration, Implementation & Adoption, Release Management / Gating & Support teams. Mr. Saleem is also appointed as at HIMSS India Chapter for Clinical Systems Adoption Committee Member
He has a passion for managing the end user and product side healthcare technology. He has been a process excellence functional consultant for NHS to deliver and deploy the EHR and provided clinical transformation expertise as part of their massive EHR implementation programs. He was the part of leadership team at Ohum to setup India’s first EHR Company and created India’s first Clinical Transformation doctrine, which was responsible for India’s first HIMSS-6 EHR implementation. Before taking over the EHRs projects Mr. Saleem had led the HIS end-to-end development for couple of product sets which was deployed across all the major Apollo group of hospitals during the year of 2001 to 2007.
Mr. Saleem completed his graduate from Christ Church College Kanpur and has a master’s in information technology from Karnataka University. Mr. Saleem has designed 5As methodology to deploy and adopt the EHR which has been given the massive outcome towards better adoption of EHR by the clinical users and the hospitals.
